A New Season Begins on the Road in Dallas
Tampa Bay Sun FC officially kicks off the 2026 Fall Season on Saturday night, traveling to Dallas to face Dallas Trinity FC at historic Cotton Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT (8:30 p.m. ET) as the Sun begin a 14-match fall campaign with their sights set on another postseason run.
With a new season comes a fresh opportunity for Tampa Bay. The Fall Season represents the league’s transition to a spring-to-fall calendar beginning in 2027, with all eight Gainbridge Super League clubs set to play 14 matches before the postseason. The top four teams in the final standings will advance to the playoffs, making every match important from the opening whistle.

A New Season Begins
The Sun enter the 2026 Fall Season ready to turn the page and begin a new chapter.
Saturday marks the opening match of Tampa Bay’s 14-game fall schedule, which features seven matches at home and seven on the road. The Sun will begin the campaign with three consecutive road matches before returning to Tampa for their home opener against Fort Lauderdale United FC on September 12.
The condensed fall schedule adds significance to every match, with the Players’ Shield and a place in the postseason on the line throughout the campaign. The top four clubs will advance to the playoffs, with the semifinals scheduled for December 5 and the Fall Season Final set for December 12.

The two clubs last met in May, when Dallas traveled to Tampa and earned a 2–0 victory at Suncoast Credit Union Field. Saturday’s meeting gives the Sun an opportunity to open the new campaign with a response against a Trinity side they will see again later this season.
The clubs are scheduled to meet again in Tampa on November 14, giving Saturday’s matchup the first chapter in a two-match season series.
