NAME THE DERBY

A new three-way rivalry in Florida women’s soccer begins this season with matchups of three Florida clubs: Sporting Club Jacksonville, Tampa Bay Sun FC, and Fort Lauderdale United FC of the Gainbridge Super League.
To celebrate the new in-state derby matches, supporters of the competing Florida clubs are being invited to make their mark on history by coming up with a name for the intrastate derby. The winning name will be selected by a panel of representatives from the three clubs and unveiled in the coming weeks.
This showdown will be decided by the results of 12 regular-season Gainbridge Super League matches played throughout the 2025/26 season. Each team will face the others four times, with points earned counting toward the competition standings.

LET’S HEAR YOUR IDEA!
Submissions will be accepted until September 30, 2025, with the winning suggestion announced by the three teams shortly after.
Competition Format:
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw
- Goal difference (goals for minus goals against) as the first tiebreaker
- If still tied, a coin toss will determine the champion
The club finishing top among the three Florida teams will be crowned unofficial champions of Florida at the end of the 2025/26 regular season.
