Media Credential Guidelines
Media members may apply for match credentials using the link above. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Tampa Bay Sun Football Club reserves the right to deny or modify access at its discretion.
In most cases, approved credentials will be issued for individual matches rather than for a full season. Credentials, seating, and media parking are limited and will be allocated at the club’s discretion.
All applications must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the match you wish to attend.
Credentials are intended for media outlets producing editorial coverage on match day. This includes newspapers, television, radio, and reputable websites that produce consistent, professional content in line with accepted journalistic standards. All credentialed media must be working on assignment for a recognized media outlet. Freelance applicants may be asked to provide additional validation from an editor or supervisor.
Tampa Bay Sun Football Club does not issue credentials for personal social media coverage unless previously discussed and approved by the club. For travel or scheduling considerations, requests for future matches or activities not listed should be emailed to media@tampabaysunfc.com.
Attire and Professional Conduct
Media members are expected to dress professionally. Jerseys or other team-branded fan apparel are not permitted. Credentials may not be used for personal purposes, including requesting autographs or personal photographs.
Working Areas
Credentials must be worn and visible at all times. Photographers and videographers may be issued bibs at media check-in; if distributed, bibs must be worn at all times and returned to the media work room before departure.
Credentialed photographers and videographers may shoot from behind the end boards – off the field – on the east and west ends of the pitch. During opening ceremonies and halftime, they may shoot from behind the side boards – off the field – on the north side of the pitch. Media are not permitted on the pitch at any time.
The small room at the top of the south bleachers is used by the in-game production crew and is not a designated media area.
Reporting in Approved Areas Only
Media may only gather content in designated areas:
- The pitch (from approved positions off the field)
- The media work room located in the gymnasium building
Player contact is prohibited outside of official interview settings. Media may not access any other part of the gymnasium building, including locker rooms.
Requests to capture content in other areas must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Reporting on, photographing, or filming any materials posted for players, coaches, or staff within club facilities (such as memos, notes, or signage) is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate and future loss of access.
